The Amazon's Review
This is The Elements of Style, the classic style manual, now in a fourth edition. A new Foreword by Roger Angell reminds readers that the advice of Strunk & White is as valuable today as when it was first offered. This book's unique tone, wit and charm have conveyed the principles of English style to millions of readers. Use the fourth edition of "the little book" to make a big impact with writing."
Bartleby Review
"Asserting that one must first know the rules to break them, this classic reference book is a must-have for any student and conscientious writer. Intended for use in which the practice of composition is combined with the study of literature, it gives in brief space the principal requirements of plain English style and concentrates attention on the rules of usage and principles of composition most commonly violated."

Losers Always Try. Winners Never Try

Tuesday, October 1, 2013

"I warn you: A WINNING STANCE* IS NEVER ACHIEVED BY TRYING. I hear some say ,"I will try as hard as i can." Trying is
for Losers. Trying implies the possibility of losing. I will Try to win. I will Try not to
lose. If after trying they have lost, well, they Tried, did they not? Losers always try.
Winners never try. Winners only win." -GERRY SPENCE, "The Unbeatable Power Argument" .

I have been reading a book , and i have found this powerful  quote . So i did a research about the writer .  GERRY SPENCE is an American trial lawyer and is widely recognized as one of the greatest trial lawyers of all time.Spence states that he "has never lost a criminal case either as a prosecutor or a defense attorney. He has not lost a civil case since 1969."

The writer biography prove that he is really a " Winner " . so
Do you share the same point of view with Mr Spence ? does trying
Implies the possibility of losing ? do you have always to be successful ?

* Winning stance : is the posture of winners .
